At Besiktas Shipping, we are passionate about conserving energy resources and improving our energy performance for a cleaner environment. We are committed to using various forms of energy in a cost-effective and efficient manner, both in shipboard operations and office energy consumption. With our energy policy, we aim to:

• minimize energy use and cost by continuously measuring and controlling the energy index;
• develop an appropriate Energy Management Plan and Policy;
• promote energy awareness culture throughout our organization;
• strive for continual improvement in energy performance;
• ensure the availability of information and necessary resources to achieve objectives and targets;
• conduct periodic energy audits and implement identified improvements;
• comply with applicable legal and other requirements related to energy use, consumption, and efficiency;
• set and review energy objectives and targets;
• support the purchase of energy-efficient products and services, and design for energy performance improvement;
• document and communicate this policy and plan at all levels within the organization;
• regularly review and update the policy and plan as necessary; and
• continuously benchmark our performance against the industry.
